Sauna Project

I lived in Finland for 15 years where sauna is a very important part of the culture.  After my family moved to the United States, we all missed having a sauna in our house. So, my dad and I built one!

Although this is not an aerospace engineering project, I thought it deserves a spot on this website. For a year I spent most of my weekends building the sauna, shower room, and dressing room. I did every part of the project from scratch, including woodworking, pouring concrete, electrical wiring, plumbing, and air-conditioning. It remains one of my largest engineering projects outside of an engineering team. Now that it's finished, my family uses the sauna almost every day.
