Rubber Band Man
The first rocketry team I joined at Georgia Tech was the Georgia Tech's Spaceport America Cup team. Our team competed in the 30,000 feet category with a rocket called Rubber Band Man.

I worked on multiple different projects for Rubber Band Man. These included fabrication of carbon fiber tubes, mechanical staging system, camera integration, and engine manufacturing.

After the launch was delayed for a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Rubber Band Man finally launched in the summer 2021. Unfortunately, the launch ended in an anomaly once the airframe buckled right after the vehicle went supersonic. However, there were many positive things about the launch. For example, our new mechanical staging system and recovery systems worked as designed.
